Diesels just tend to be slow to heat up, for the reasons we all know. Absolutely Spot On Ulpian! Diesels are not really for short runs anyway. I found leaving the heater blower off and the temperature setting at "Cold" warms my engine up within a mile or 2 even in this weather using around 2,500 rpm on a decent road.
