Apr 3, 2018. #1. Hello. I've tried searching for some info relating to this fault but can't find any. My wife has a 2015 500x multiair 1.4 turbo. She has owned the car for approx. 18 months now. The car has an issue where it will suddenly lose power, it is as if the turbo has stopped working. The car needs the nuts revved of it to go FIAT Bravo 1.4 T-JET SPORT. lol thats horrible the fiat 1.4 turbo push's out the same kilowatts and 0-100 and top speed as VW's Polo Gti, thats not something i would be proud of JK8

The problem occurs due to insufficient fuel pressure. The culprit can be one of three components: the fuel pump check valve, the fuel pressure regulator on the rail, or the injectors. The first step is to check the pressure in the rail after stopping the engine – it should be about 3 bar and not drop below 2.5 bar after a few hours.

If it's your Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve you would normaly have other problems like a lot of thick black smoke out the tailpipe and more serious
Manufacturers fit recirculating BOVs to achieve three outcomes: To reduce the noise caused by compressor surge on throttle closure To speed-up turbo response following gearchanges To reduce airflow metering problems caused by reverse flow back through the airflow meter on throttle closure

Hi everyone i have a big problem with my car and its hard to explain , it shakes everytime when accelerate and the shake come from the engine and happend when the turbo gets full and if u dont pull of ur leg from the gas it open the check engine light for 3-4 seconds. I can’t press the gas pedal

FilipM. Currently driving a Grande Punto Sport 1.4 T-JET, and comming from the Starjet (which looked better in Carribean Orange ) there's a massive difference. This is my 3rd Punto so far, I had a MK2 1.2 16V, then a Grande 1.4 16V, now the T-JET. Got my t-jet from the Fiat dealer with 1800km on it, I've just passed 6500 now.

Feb 23, 2012. #2. It's not the turbo itself, it's the wastegate. As the revs rise the turbo builds up boost, but eventually the pressure gets too much for the wastegate, and it opens, letting the boost pressure out, and that's why it drops off at the higher RPM, I'd say the drop starts at about 4.5k RPM. Like that model, it was a global car built in Turkey, used modular front-driven architecture and prioritised plenty of interior space. The difference with this MK2 Tipo though, lay in the simplicity of Fiat's approach - which wouldn't work if this car was priced directly against its main rivals. But that isn't the case. When cold 1st, 2nd and 3rd difficult and when warn almost impossible to get in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. And it feels like all the gears have moved a bit to the left. All connectors between the stick and gearbox looks fine.
